Amy Roy B.A., S.S.W.
My journey with the OCJA began in 2012 where I began a position as Public Relations Representative from 2012-2016. In 2016 I was nominated for the position of Vice President and held the role of Acting President for two months, until my departure in 2017. In 2012 I began working with The Salvation Army Correctional and Justice Services in Toronto as the Community Service Order Case Manager, Electronic Supervision Technician and also the Web Master for our office. During this time I worked toward my Solution Focused Counselling Certificate from the University of Toronto in hopes to develop a 1-1 counselling program through The Salvation Army. In 2017 I was given an opportunity with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services to pursue a career as a Probation and Parole Officer. I sadly had to let go of my role on the OCJA Executive and look to the future. I am so grateful for the experience and friends that I have met a long the way. I wish the OCJA nothing but the best and hope to one day cross paths with some of the networks I have made throughout the years. Thank you OCJA! |
