Davida Curtis
I have been a member of the OCJA since 2016-2017 and currently hold a position as the Metro Region Representative. I have worked with The Salvation Army Correctional and Justice Services Toronto for the past 34 years. I work within the Community Service Order program where I focus on creative placements that help clients build self esteem and skills. I am also a contract Anger Management facilitator in both Toronto and the Durham Region. This program offers countless opportunities to help clients put their lives back into balance, while managing their anger. In the past I have presented in high schools on the down side of crime where I incorporate my CSO clients to complete their community hours. In these presentations I challenge high school students to take a serious look at how choices affect one's future outcomes. I am also currently involved in a Restorative Justice initiative through the Para legal Association of Toronto. This involves public speaking at venues where Restorative Justice is the focus in various levels of society. I have my own business as a Pampered Chef consultant and am involved in a tele communications business whereby the public can secure much cheaper prices for cells phones, internet, cable, and hydro prices with Xoom Energy. |
